TRAINING PROGRAM OUTLINE

Catagra Group Training delivers nationally recognised training from the AHC Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package.

THIS PROGRAM INCLUDES

AHCLSK513 Develop livestock health and welfare strategies

AHCLSK423 Develop feeding plans for livestock

AHCBUS408 Operate within a budget framework

AHCAGB405 Analyse and interpret production data

AHCLSK509 Develop and implement a breeding strategy

AHCLSK421 Supervise natural mating of livestock

AHCAGB521 Select and use agricultural technology

 

These nationally recognised units are delivered online as part of the Cattle Reproduction Management program.

The program combines self-paced learning with fortnightly interactive online sessions and guest industry presenters, providing participants with practical and strategic skills in livestock production. Topics include animal health and welfare, nutrition and feeding plans, breeding and reproductive management, and the use of agricultural technology to improve productivity and herd performance.

Upon successful completion of the program requirements, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised units of competency achieved.

Before enrolling, please ensure you  read and understand the information below.

REQUIREMENTS

  • We require all students to demonstrate Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) skills at Level 3 or above. If you are unsure whether you meet this requirement, you must complete our Learning, Literacy and Numeracy Quiz as part of your enrolment.
  • Students should have an interest in livestock and reproduction management
  • Student should be comfortable with online learning and self-directed study
  • Basic literacy is required
  • Basic computer skills and ability to connect to online sessions 
  • Students require a computer with internet access for the online learning parts of the units. A mobile phone is not suitable for this program.

DURATION AND DELIVERY

 

  • 9 months Part Time 
  • Live online 2 hour sessions, fortnightly with our Head Trainer.(These will be recorded and accessible after the online session) 
  • There will be a small number of additional online sessions for presentation of assessments.
  • Part time, self paced learning with interactive online components 

 

CAREER AND STUDY PATHWAYS

Where can this course take me?

Upon completion students may pursue roles in cattle livestock management, farm operations, or agricultural consultancy, with practical skills to manage animal health, breeding, feeding, and production systems effective.

Students can also continue building their skills and knowledge through Catagra Group  Training’s additional accredited units of competency, including:

• AHLSK339 Pregnancy Test Livestock

• AHCAIS304 Artificially inseminate livestock

• AHCLSK341 Coordinate artificial insemination and fertility management of livestock

Each pathway is designed to enhance practical capability, industry knowledge, and career  progression within the agricultural sector.

  • Successful completion may support employment opportunities in roles such as livestock artificial insemination technician or livestock production support roles.

TRAINING LOCATIONS AND DATES

  • Training is delivered online. 

  • Training dates as per the training calendar.

STUDENT SUPPORT, RPL AND CREDIT TRANSFER

  • Students may apply for: Credit Transfer – For formal training equivalent to a new statement of attainment or partial statement of attainment.

  •  Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – For relevant skills and knowledge gained through work or life experience.   • Catagra Group Training provides access to a range of support services including:

  • Flexible training arrangements where reasonably practicable 

COST, REFUND & CANCELLATION

  • Total Training Program fee is $3,300 

  • This fee covers training and assessment for the nationally recognised units of competency listed in this Information Sheet.

  • Catagra Group Training Pty Ltd applies a staged payment approach in accordance with the Standards for RTOs 2025.

  • An initial invoice of $1,500 will be issued upon acceptance of enrolment and must be paid prior to commencement of training. Payment of this invoice confirms your place.

  • A second invoice for the remaining balance will be issued after training has commenced and prior to practical training sessions

  • Commencement of training is defined as the point at which the learner is granted access to learning materials, online systems, or participates in any training or assessment activity.

  • Catagra Group Training Pty Ltd does not require any payment prior to acceptance into the training product.
